Collection Efforts
Step 1: 1st Notice.
When an account is received by TAB Services, a collection notice is sent to the consumer advising them of their rights.
Step 2:Telephone Contact.
If the consumer does not respond to the first notice, the collector attempts contact by phone at the consumer's home or workplace. When an agreement to pay is made by the consumer and the collector, the agreement and date of payment are recorded in TAB's computer system.
Step 3:Payment Plan or Legal Action.
If the agreed-upon payment is made on time, the consumer is not contacted by TAB again. However, if the payment is not received as scheduled, the collector will contact the consumer again to resolve the matter. If the consumer refuses to cooperate, TAB will proceed with all collection remedies allowed by law.
